Spotting #20: rabbits belong in...? Small Cages? Wildlife? I know at this point, my best friend will be debating that rabbits have rights! Well, for a first, I saw a rabbit kept within a house. No, not in a cage though. I saw it at the gate, like those dogs you see in a house? Yeah, the rabbit was free to roam around the house. As dogs were kept. And it was HUGE (by my standards anyway). Close to the size of a typical dog. Talk about queer!

Spotting #21: Not sure if many of you guys spotted this or not, but there was a pumpkin head hung at the Singapore Flyer yesterday. Happy Halloween guys! Albeit late. The pumpkin head was hung right smack in the middle of the flyer and lit up in orange! Pretty cool if you ask me. :)

Spotting #22: If you give birth to a child, the child is your responsibility. Take care of him\her. Don't expect your other children to take care of him\her. Yeah sure you want to teach them responsibility, but don't make a scene when the other children lose him\her. Okay, fine this is not up to me to judge. After all, all families are different.

Spotting #19: Man. Or WOman? Confused gender? Oh dear. Sat beside a guy/girl on the bus today. Initially I thought it was a girl who was dressed like a guy. Then as (s)he got up, (s)he spoke and omg, so guy! The shoe size seemed to confirm his (her) gender. Regardless, that wasn't all to it. When he/she was sitting next to me, he/she was shaking so badly. No, not like trembling due to cold, but similar to actual SHAKING. Yeah, that bad. It was strange. I was speculating if he was on drugs or if he was having those sorta fits? Eventually, he looked perfectly fine when he got up to get off the bus. No shaking, no trembling, nada. SUCH an anomaly. O.o

Musing: not going to criticise or say anything. What you choose to wear is of your own free will. However, did want to comment on the way we were judging him. Everyone (i.e. the group of us) were all talking softly about him and yeah I guess that is kinda daunting and uncomfortable. How'd you like if everyone judged you? Yet, speaking of judgment, everyone gets judged by everyone. Whether it's by another's strict standards, or simply by someone who finds you WEIRD (that's a judgment in itself). I guess if you want to be in this society, this socially active (or rather INactive) one, then you'd have to learn to live with judgment. You can either conform or break convention. You can choose to either bury yourself with judgments and stay underground or ignore everyone, ignore judgment!

It's a free country (I think). BUT, then again, Singapore is a conservative society. Judgment abounds and conforming to societal norms are expected of almost everyone.

Musing: Humans Are Subjective. As long as it benefits themselves, it's alright. I like it as long as it isn't directed at me. Your sharp tongue will be cutting to me; but funny when you use it on others. That is the way humans are. GENERALLY, in this case Humans Are Selfish. As a Chinese saying goes: if one doesn't fight/do things for yourself, the natural order will be disrupted.

Spotting #17: ever watched a vehicle pass you on a wet road during an ending rain/drizzle? Have you ever noticed the water that "sprays" up gently behind the vehicle as it moves away? It's gorgeous I tell you. I wouldn't say these pictures are as beautiful as what I experienced myself, but this is to give you an idea of what I am talking about. AND, for you to observe your very own rain spray.

Spotting #18: have you ever jay-walked? At night? Whereby you are stuck at the road divider waiting to cross the final half of the road? Well, I noticed this really interesting thing while in the car that day. It is that whenever we approach a "jay-walker" at the road divider, the face lights up and along the way more and more lit up with the car's front lights. It's amazing. It's as if I have been transported into a game of zombies or something. And, it's creepppyyy in a way too. But anyway, up to you to find out. x)

Spotting #16: Please refrain from speaking loudly on public transport. Let's try to respect the passengers and be empathetic.

Musing: you can SPEAK. Sure you can, I'm not giving you an ULTIMATUM that you CANNOT, ABSOLUTELY cannot speak at all. I'm just saying some people may be tired from a hard day's work or school and really need to rest. Okay, so I did not go to work or school, but I still am tired. So I would have really appreciated if the three Philippinos behind us not speak so loudly. First it was a worker from who knows which country, because I could not understand his tongue, but he left to sit and talked softer. THEN, these three started talking for so long and so loud? OH GOD. Seriously. After my friend left, one came to sit and they CONTINUED to talk. Talk about surround sound! Anyway, then an old lady got on the bus and I let my seat to her. I have no idea if what I did was in her best interest or not. Imagine the noise. ugh.
Spotting #14: my friends are alright with the notion of FOUR people sharing a piece of tissue. No doubt as clearly explained by friend A; how big are our mouths? No doubt as further elaborated by friend B; it's three ply and no doubt when asked by friend C; aren't you for the environment? Okay, maybe this is just a scene I will find amusing.

Musing: yes, on the positive side of things, wow, four very environmental conscious friends. On the negative side of things, woah, how stingy/calculative can you get? Let's take this to a general level and not zoom into it personally. I mean, it's a piece of TISSUE for goodness sake. ONE piece. It's meant for ONE person to use. Then again, NO ONE stipulated that rule. Yet, then again, I guess I just underestimate the damage one piece of tissue paper can bring to the environment and how we should all not waste. After all, every little bit counts right? Right?

Spotting #15: To quote example of AOM again (refer to spotting #6); when elderly see inconsiderate arses who fall asleep leaving their stuffs over the seat next to them, sit on it. Do not just stand there. People will assume you do not need a seat and not give one up for you. UNLESS you appear to be falling down/inability to stay balanced.

Musing: as one turns old, one gets some unspoken rights given to one. No one knows or really defines what they are, but these include acts like getting seats on crowded public transport and given grace and priority on many occasions. Just some elderly privileges that one gets due to the society here in Singapore and many Asian countries. Hence, use these rights (reasonably as well I mean). When inconsiderate arses do the above, tell them off. Don't be passive and expect it to come to you naturally. YOU have the right. Do the RIGHT thing. If you want to sit down because you are old and need the seat, don't WAIT for it and get angry with people who don't give it to you. Again, like I said, chances are as an elder, people will probably give you the seat until they see that you don't need it. If you pull a long face, act all strong and stubborn, indignant no one gave you a seat, you won't get the seat. Sometimes people are just as indignant about your indignance (okay I think there's no such word, but you get what I'm saying) that way.

Spotting #11: The next time you put on something to wear: think: do you want people to notice your chest? Otherwise, please refrain from wearing a slogan t-shirt or giant loud graphic so that other people can avoid getting a false accusation from you.

Musing: c'mon, YOU chose to wear that slogan t-shirt or loud graphic tee. Don't expect people NOT to be staring at your chest and trying to read whatever you have there. So, if you feel uncomfortable with stares at chest, please AVOID these t-shirts at ALL COSTS!

Spotting #12: The next time you get on a double-decker bus and happen to sit on the side-facing seats of the lower deck; sit under the air con vents (but not the last one) and look up at the low ceiling. Do you see a face staring at you?? O.o (urms, the older buses with air-con I mean)

Spotting #13: Foreign workers are scared of you. The next time you see a group of them, try staring. I'm pretty sure (about 80%, the other 20% are those horny ones which I cannot assure :P) they will look away. Why?

Musing: to be truly honest, foreign workers are more afraid of you than you are of them. They are fully aware of the laws and regulations of Singapore and do not want to risk their jobs here. Thus, although they seem scary and always walk around in big groups, Singaporeans most likely have nothing to fear. Isn't there a saying there is safety in numbers? In this case, foreign workers feel safe in these big numbers. Safe against us that is. Of course you will ask what happens during New Year Eve's and Christmas Parades on Orchard Roads? I just want to say; well, ANYONE could possibly molest you, what's more to say them? Plus, at these parades/celebrations, these molestations are commonplace with everyone moving so close to each other. I guess what I'm just trying to say is that, while many of us carry a fear and a form of prejudice against them, they too do the same for us. That's why you don't see them trying to mingle with us now do you?

Spotting #8: girl wearing high heels who eventually ended up buying slippers from cheers. Looking pathetic and unpro as inability to tolerate high heels. If you can't wear the shoes, don't force it on your poor feet! =( They would need rest very much tonight I should think. :S

Spotting #9: monochrome! The two TV Mobile screens in a bus had one colour and another in B&W. Seated right in direct vision line of both, I could see the different effects of both TVs. Long Live and HAIL COLOUR Tele.

Spotting #10: Biscuit! Omg~ Walked past the road today and some construction workers were trying to re-do the road I think? To make it flat after some drainage works on all the houses. OMG~ Imagine the amount of work for the construction workers??? Okay anyway, point is worker was like BREAKING off the road in chunk; they looked moe like ice-cream than road. HAHAS,

Spotting #7: three man making an effort to crawl through the hole in the road divider fence. You know those green fences they put up in the middle of the road to prevent jay-walking? Yeah, the fence had a few bars removed and three men made their way through it to get across the road.

Musing: I don't know what you call it, but the situation was funny plenty. Like what; three grown men, going under a fence so as to cross a road. How much effort must one make in order to cross a road??! Damn it, it's only a road, walk a lil further and you'd make it to the part of the road WITHOUT the fence. Seriously. I guess the scene whereby they crawl under/through the fence just made me laugh at how humans can really do things without concern for their image and that to some people? Image is not everything. I guess in a good way, there's something to be learnt here?? To achieve what you have to, image is not on the balancing scale. In a negative way, making use of every single loophole available to get to what you want? Okay, really musing.
